Soft Tofu Chi Gae (Sundubu Chigae or Jjigae)

Ingredients
- 1 package soft tofu
- 1/2 bottle clam juice
- 1/2 16 oz container kim chee
- 3 anchovies
- to taste salt
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil
- 1 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 Tbs red chili paste
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic
- 4 cups water
- as needed green onion
Instructions
- Cut the kim chee into bite sized pieces.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a soup pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic, anchovies, and kim chee and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the water, clam juice, red chili paste, soy sauce, and bring to a boil.
- Cut the tofu into large chunks and add to the boiling soup. Bring soup back to a boil.
- Salt to taste.
- Serve over rice and top with fresh green onion.
