Holiday Green Beans

Ingredients
- 6 cans French style green beans
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1/2 lb Velveeta cheese
- 3 T margarine
- 3 T flour
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Pour about half the liquid off the beans and put in large pot.
- Boil the beans down until they are almost dry.
- Fry the bacon crispily and drain.
- Add all or most of bacon drippings to beans.
- Add crumbled bacon.
- Add drained water chestnuts.
- In a sauce pan, melt margarine.
- Add flour and stir until smooth.
- Add milk.
- When this begins to thicken, add 1-inch cubes of the Velveeta cheese.
- Stir until it is smooth.
- Add to beans.
- Serve immediately. They may be reheated.
